Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 4, 2026
This policy explains what information Vidcraftr ("Vidcraftr", "we", "us") collects when you use vidcraftr.com and the Vidcraftr service (the "Service"), how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. Vidcraftr is an AI content engine that turns ideas, scripts and footage into videos.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account information: your name, email address and login details when you create an account, including the basic profile (name, email, profile picture) shared by Google if you sign in with Google.
- Content you provide: ideas, prompts, scripts, uploaded videos, audio and images, links to videos you ask us to process, voice samples you choose to provide for a custom narrator (only with your consent), and the videos, thumbnails and text the Service creates for you ("Your Content").
- Payment information: payments are handled by our payment processor (such as Paddle or Stripe). We receive your billing name, country, plan and payment status, but never your full card number.
- Communications: messages you send us, such as support requests.
Information collected automatically
- Usage and device data: pages visited, features used, credits spent, render history, browser type, device type, IP address and approximate location derived from it, and error logs.
- Cookies: we use essential cookies to keep you signed in and secure the Service. We do not use advertising cookies. If we add analytics, we will update this policy first.
Information from connected platforms
If you choose to connect a social media or video platform account (for example YouTube, TikTok, Instagram or Facebook) so Vidcraftr can publish videos for you, we receive from that platform only what is needed to publish on your behalf: an access token, your account or channel ID, name and profile picture, and the status of the posts we publish. We do not read your private messages, your followers' personal data or content you did not publish through Vidcraftr.
2. How we use information
- To provide the Service: create, edit, render, store and deliver your videos, and publish them to platforms you connect when you ask us to.
- To run your account: sign-in, credits, billing, receipts and support.
- To keep the Service safe: prevent fraud and abuse, enforce our Terms, and comply with law.
- To improve the Service: understand which features are used and fix problems, using aggregated or de-identified data where possible.
- To contact you about your account, changes to the Service and, if you opt in, product news. You can unsubscribe at any time.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use Your Content to train our own or third-party AI models.
3. AI processing
To create videos, parts of Your Content (such as prompts, scripts, transcripts or audio) are sent to AI service providers that work on our behalf, for example to write or edit scripts, transcribe speech, generate images or video, or generate voiceover. These providers process the data only to return results to us and are not allowed to use it to train their models under our agreements with them. AI output can be inaccurate; please review it before you publish.
4. Who we share information with
- Service providers who help us run the Service: cloud hosting and storage, AI model providers, email delivery, payment processing, and security and spam protection (such as Cloudflare). They may only use the data to provide their service to us.
- Platforms you connect, when you ask us to publish a video there. What happens to the video after that is governed by that platform's terms and privacy policy.
- Legal and safety: when required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and property of our users, the public or Vidcraftr.
- Business transfers: if Vidcraftr is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that deal, under this policy.
5. Google and YouTube data
If you connect a YouTube channel, Vidcraftr uses YouTube API Services to upload videos and manage the posts you publish through Vidcraftr. By connecting YouTube, you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's handling of your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
Vidcraftr's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use Google user data only to provide the features you request, we do not use it for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not use it to train AI models.
You can revoke Vidcraftr's access to your Google account at any time from your Google security settings or by disconnecting the channel in Vidcraftr. When you disconnect, we delete the stored access tokens.
6. TikTok, Instagram and Facebook data
If you connect TikTok or a Meta account (Instagram or Facebook), we use their official APIs only to publish the videos you choose and to show you the status of those posts. Your use of those platforms is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. You can disconnect at any time in Vidcraftr or from the platform's app settings, and we will delete the stored access tokens.
7. How long we keep information
- Account information: for as long as your account is open.
- Your Content: until you delete it or close your account. Uploaded source files may be deleted automatically after processing; we will tell you in the app how long files are kept.
- Access tokens for connected platforms: until you disconnect the platform or delete your account.
- Billing records: as long as required by tax and accounting law.
- Backups: deleted data may remain in encrypted backups for up to 35 days before it is overwritten.
8. Deleting your data
You can delete individual videos at any time, and you can delete your whole account from your account settings. Deleting your account permanently deletes your profile, Your Content and connected platform tokens, except records we must keep by law (such as invoices).
You can also ask us to delete your data, including data received through Facebook or Instagram login, by emailing vidcraftr@gmail.com from the email address on your account with the subject "Delete my data". We will confirm and complete the request within 30 days.
9. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, download or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict some processing, and to withdraw consent. To use these rights, email vidcraftr@gmail.com. We will not discriminate against you for using them. If you are in the EU, UK or a US state with a privacy law, you may also complain to your local data protection authority.
10. Security
We protect information with encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls, and encrypted storage for access tokens and backups. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects you, we will notify you as required by law.
11. International transfers
We and our providers may process information in the United States, the European Union and other countries. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
12. Children
The Service is not for children under 13 (or under 16 where local law requires), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the Service changes. We will change the date at the top, and for important changes we will notify you by email or in the app before they take effect.
14. Contact
